I Got Into This Because I Watched Good People Lose Good Businesses to Problems That Were Fixable.

My name is David Beumer. I'm a husband, a father, and someone who has spent his career trying to understand why people do what they do inside organizations. And what to do when what they're doing isn't working.

Before Blindside Consulting, I held leadership roles in transportation, P&C insurance, and product management. These aren't industries that forgive operational sloppiness. When things break, you know immediately. That environment shaped how I think about systems, people, and accountability.

What I bring that most operators don't is a background in behavioral science. Understanding how your team actually makes decisions under pressure, where communication quietly breaks down, and why the processes you build don't always survive contact with real people.

I started Blindside Consulting because I kept seeing the same thing. Owners who had built something real, something worth being proud of, and who were slowly being consumed by it. They weren't failing because they lacked vision or drive. They were failing to build the infrastructure that would let their vision actually land.

I take a small number of clients at a time. Not because of availability. Because this kind of work requires real attention, and I'm not willing to give you anything less than that.
